It’s vital to your proper understanding of this material to realize a couple of relevant things about J.B. Philips.

How do we learn? Set aside for a moment, the deeper, spiritual edge to learning, and simply define in your mind how you believe we learn? I learned about learning from Master Sergeant Horowitz, in a course called organizational effectiveness taught at Husterhoeh Kaserne, Pirmasens Germany in 1977. It’s not forgettable, because every aspect of learning was rung out of us as a group. We were in the presence of sheer genius, we just didn’t know it. Ever have that happen? Horowitz would leave the Army, obtain his Masters and Ph.D. and end up at a well known college. I argued with David, yes, he said we could “Drop the military at the door- I’m Sergeant, outside, in here, I’m David- let’s be friends. ” Geniuses have a way of disarming your cautions, know any other famous teachers did that? How ’bout one we all sort of know?
Please excuse the “Wankiness” of this early attempt at sharing what David emotionally involved us in. What(?), what’s that word Dana- emotionally? Yes, it is key to how we learn. It is what will always, note that, always, separate us from artificial intelligence even if it may appear smarter!
Really aren’t we, that is, you and I and, Phillips who is tuning our minds into, and Jesus; Who is the author and perfecter of …go ahead complete it…you know it.👏 Are not we all together learning? If there is a challenging factor to us, might it be, time?
